Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA consultant to oversee testing activities across software projects and programs. This role requires strong quality expertise, project management, and the ability to coordinate testing efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders. The QA consultant will drive the creation and execution of test strategies, ensure deliverables meet quality standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Own the quality assurance process and ensure test deliverables meet business, user, and program requirements.
- Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data in collaboration with developers, business analysts, and automation specialists.
- Coordinate and facilitate cross-team test execution, ensuring smooth progress and timely delivery of testing milestones.
- Oversee the bug lifecycle, including defect logging, assignment, tracking, retesting, and closure to resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor and report testing progress, quality metrics, and status dashboards to stakeholders.
- Partner with automation teams to support test automation by providing scripts, scenarios, and data.
- Ensure testing aligns with program deliverables and is completed within scheduled timelines.
- Collaborate across global teams, fostering continuous improvement in QA methodologies, standards, and practices.
- Quickly learn project-specific business processes and apply testing leadership to new initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 7 years of experience leading QA efforts or software testing projects.
- Proven expertise in Software Testing methodologies, QA best practices, and tools.
- Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-team coordination globally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Solid knowledge of Agile/SCRUM practices and working experience in agile environments.
- Familiarity with programming concepts (Java, C, .NET) and testing across web & enterprise applications.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management.
- Knowledge of SAP testing or experience working on SAP-related projects.
- Exposure to enterprise tools such as MS Visual Studio, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office Suite.
