RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Scrum Master in Tampa, FL.
Summary:
The Scrum Master/Project Manager plays a key role in guiding software development teams within the IT department. This position ensures that IT delivery principles are followed, fosters an environment of collaboration and accountability, and helps the team deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently and iteratively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives or other ceremonies defined within the program
* Coach and mentor team members on agile best practices to strengthen team maturity
* Remove impediments or blockers to keep sprints on track
* Support the Product Owner in refining and maintaining a prioritized product backlog
* Track and report on sprint progress using metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team capacity
* Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable insights
* Coordinate with other Scrum Masters/Project Managers, architects, and project managers to manage cross-team dependencies
* Ensure transparency and effective communication across technical and business stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) certification desired
* 3-6 years of experience in IT project or product development environments, with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master
* Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
* Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with distributed teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
