A fast - growing biotechnology company is expanding its production capacity with a new facility in Salt Lake City, & their team is in immediate need of a MSAT Engineer to support them fully onsite for at least 6 months. There is the potential for an extension to 9 months.
The client is seeking a motivated engineer to support the execution of pilot-scale process runs & contribute to technology transfer activities in the MSAT pilot-scale lab. The individual will be responsible for accurate process execution, compliant documentation, & data collection/analysis that inform process optimization & scale-up. The engineer will also support equipment operation & troubleshooting, lab readiness, & contribute to maintaining a safe & compliant environment. The engineer will be organized, detail-oriented, & eager to learn, with a collaborative & proactive mindset. This role offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to process development & the delivery of effective therapies to patients.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
1 - 3 years of engineering related experience within Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical company
Hands - on experience in a lab
Some downstream experience & experience with filtration systems
Experience with bioreactors
Builds trustful & effective relationships with authenticity & humility
Confidence to work in a rapidly changing environment
Proficient oral presentation & written communication skills
Must be able to work weekends occasionally
Physical must be able to put on specialized gowning, lift & manipulate items over 25 lbs, climb ladders, stand for multiple hours at a time
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, gloves, eye covering, etc.) in a compliant manner for extended periods of time
