The Part-Time Workday Project Manager will support the client in deploying and adopting Workday across three integrated entities. This individual will act as the internal program lead, ensuring alignment between technical and business stakeholders and partnering closely with the implementation team.This role involves managing data, process, and change management workstreams, overseeing testing and go-live readiness, and driving adoption across departments. The position offers an opportunity to evolve into a Workday HRIS / IT Systems Manager role following deployment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal Workday project manager coordinating activities across the three entities.
- Maintain the master project plan, driving accountability and tracking deliverables with the PM team.
- Facilitate testing, data validation, and go-live readiness activities.
- Oversee internal data extraction, cleaning, and migration from legacy systems including Paychex, ADP, and Bullhorn.
- Help define standardized business processes across entities using Workday as the operational model.
- Coordinate integration readiness with Finance (Sage Intacct) and Payroll teams.
- Act as the internal Workday champion, driving adoption and alignment across departments.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and key decisions to executives and stakeholders.
- Identify risks and dependencies, proactively surfacing issues requiring executive attention.
- Partner with implementation team to document configuration decisions and Workday setup.
- Support the post–go-live transition into AMS (Application Management Services) and internal ownership.
Required Experience/Skills
- 5–10 years of project management experience, including direct, hands-on Workday implementation or enhancement projects (required).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts spanning HR, Finance, and IT.
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems, data migration, and process standardization.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-entity programs.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, ADP, and Bullhorn.
- PMP, CSM, or comparable certification.
