Junior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Duration: 12-month contract (full-time, ~2,080 hours)
About the Role
We are seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing enhancements to a large-scale enterprise platform used across a public-sector environment. The role involves application development, integrations, configuration, and support for ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, and SPM.
You ll work as part of a collaborative platform team that includes administrators, developers, and project management professionals, all focused on improving digital service delivery and platform performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance scoped applications within ServiceNow, including PSDS and core modules.
Build and maintain integrations with other enterprise systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation and perform unit testing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver work aligned to established development standards.
Support platform configuration, scripting, and change management activities.
Contribute to platform stability, performance, and best-practice compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong foundation in ServiceNow development and scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs, etc.).
Exposure to Public Service Delivery System (PSDS) or similar scoped applications.
Familiarity with Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro), Software Asset Management (SAM), and other core ServiceNow modules.
Understanding of ITIL principles and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Typically 3 5 years of overall ServiceNow experience in development or support roles.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Progress toward or completion of ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) credentials.
Experience supporting ServiceNow in public-sector or government environments.
