Cassidy Consulting Group is seeking a full-time Audit Consultant. This is a W-2 job opportunity.
Especially helpful is experience with Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. Navy, Air Force, Army, Department of Defense Office of Inspector General, Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) and many other sub-agencies use this FIAR Program.
Scope of work:
The Client has established a robust Financial Improvement Program focusing in the areas of Accountability, Risk Management, Financial Reporting, and Audit Remediation that encompasses all Major Commands and crosses numerous functional components including service provider
interface and coordination. Administration of the monitoring and execution of the Client’s Risk
Management and Internal Control (RMIC), Financial Reporting, and Audit programs. The program has matured from a “Discovery” phase to its current phase as an audit response, remediation, and sustainment-centric program. The financial environment and related key internal controls are thoroughly tested for effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability.
Job requirements:
Must have a background of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) developed by the
Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), Generally Accepted Government Auditing
Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management
policies and procedures, and DoD and Army organizational structures.
Personnel who have experience in performing financial statement audits and audit readiness services within the Department, the Federal government, or similar enterprise organizations.
Personnel who are familiar with current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing
standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Personnel who are familiar with applicable Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal
financial management systems requirements.
Personnel who are familiar with DoD policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition,
inventory, property and material management.
Personnel who demonstrate competence in understanding, reading, speaking, and writing the English
language.
Personnel who, at time of proposal submission and throughout the period of performance, possess a
minimum of an Interim SECRET security clearance and are United States citizens.
Location: Remote (Occasional travel)
Clearance Level: Secret or clearable
Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or field directly
related to the position; or one of the following active and current certifications issued by appropriate licensing authority: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); and four (4) years of experience with Federal financial management.
