Description

We are seeking a skilled Azure Engineer with a strong background in DevOps to join our growing cloud and infrastructure team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-native and hybrid solutions using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, and security best practices. This position will work cross-functionally with application teams, architecture, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure smooth, scalable, and secure cloud deployments and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performing solutions using Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus, Key Vault, Event Grid, Databricks).
  • Build and manage automated infrastructure deployments using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support rapid deployment, testing, and updates of cloud-based applications.
  • Configure logging and monitoring systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspace, and Application Insights.
  • Provide detailed solution design options, outlining trade-offs and making recommendations backed by research.
  • Ensure architecture aligns with availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and high-availability requirements.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across environments and provide real-time resolution.
  • Create, automate, and optimize procedures for configuration, patching, and system upgrades.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on performance issues and propose continuous improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver efficient and effective technical solutions.
  • Write clear documentation and implementation guides for operational teams and support.
  • Offer mentorship and share technical knowledge with peers across teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience across multiple areas of IT including cloud architecture, development, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services and cloud-native architecture principles.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation using Azure DevOps and similar tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and telemetry platforms within Azure.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Familiar with application networking protocols (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, WebSockets) and core security standards.
  • Experience configuring or integrating with identity and access management platforms like OAuth, SAML, ADFS, Ping Identity, or Okta.
  • Solid understanding of application-layer security including SSL, XSS, Kerberos, certificates, firewalls, and reverse proxies.
  • Strong consultative approach and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with IT, architecture, security, and development teams.
  • Engage with third-party vendors and M& A integration teams to ensure alignment and delivery of cloud solutions.
