RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Sparks, NV that is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation QC for an onsite contract role. In this position, the Electrical & Instrumentation QC will work with top-tier teams on a high-impact commissioning project.
Are you a hands-on electrical commissioning engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering safe, code-compliant energizations? We're seeking an Electrical Execution Commissioning Engineer to join a cutting-edge project team focused on building and commissioning complex electrical infrastructure across a world-class manufacturing facility.
Duties:
* Execute testing, troubleshooting, and energization of electrical systems - including low, medium, and high-voltage assets (transformers, switchgear, breakers, panels, MCCs, and more)
* Participate in walkdowns and inspections to ensure systems meet turnover quality
* Drive closure on deficiency lists by coordinating with trades and vendors
* Use the Completions Management System (CMS) to track checklists and documentation
* Follow rigorous energization and LOTO protocols with a focus on safety and compliance
* Read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs) to support electrical systemization and planning
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5+ years of commissioning, electrical installation, or maintenance experience
* Strong familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
* Experience commissioning industrial or manufacturing systems under time-sensitive deadlines
* Proficiency with electrical test tools (volt meter, torque tools) and documentation platforms (CMS, MS Office)
* Ability to verify terminations, test connection points, and ensure proper torque specs and safety compliance
* Bonus: Experience with Bluebeam, MEP systems, and electrical planning/systemization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
