Job Details

At Nasdaq, you'll have the chance to start your career in an environment where learning, teamwork, and innovation come first. In this role, you'll support the NASDAQ Canada Quality Assurance team and gain hands-on experience with Equities trading systems, AWS cloud environments, Python based test tools and AI test case generation.

What You'll Do
  • Learn the functionality of the NASDAQ Canada Trading system.
  • Use Pythia, our Python-based test tool, to convert existing manual or legacy automated scripts into Pythia.
  • Use AI tools to create test cases based on the Trading system Functional Specifications.
  • Leverage AI tools to assist in the analysis of how to maximize technology with test case creation.
  • Investigate how to extend AI prompts to expand on basic functional and use cases.
  • Track KPI metrics on successes and fails and report status.

What You'll Bring
  • Must be a full-time enrolled student in an accredited college or university majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer operating systems.
  • Self-starter with curiosity, persistence, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong communicator with ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience working with Python.
  • Hands on experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-based test generation tools.
  • Hands on programming experience in any language through school or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with stock market and trading concepts.

This position will be located in New York City and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
