Job Details
Tata Technologies is searching for a Lidar Security Software Engineer to join our clients team as a Lidar Software/Firmware team member; in this role the successful candidate will:
- Implement and enhance security features in our Lidar firmware, focusing on a robust chain of trust.
- Integrate and manage hardware security components to protect cryptographic
assets and sensitive operations.
- Establish and secure communication channels between the Lidar system and other
modules, ensuring data authenticity and integrity.
- Collaborate with the firmware, hardware, and systems teams to ensure security requirements are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS),
- Computer Engineering (CE), or a related field.
- 5+ years in embedded security engineering, with a strong focus on secure boot, trusted execution, and hardware security.
- 5 years of experience in a security-focused role, preferably in the automotive, robotics, or similar safety-critical industry.
- Hands-on experience with hardware security modules (HSMs) or Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs), including their integration and application in embedded systems.
- Proficiency in developing secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS, DTLS) and their implementation on embedded devices.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and security standards relevant to the automotive or robotics industry (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, WP.29/UN R155)
- Experience with hardware debugging tools such as JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Prior experience working with FPGAs, particularly Xilinx platforms and their associated development tools
- Familiarity with Lidar systems, sensor technologies, or other complex sensing applications.
- Knowledge of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, and digital signatures.
- Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS environments and their security hardening.
