Job Details

The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.

This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of closure documents for regulatory obligations owned by the Data Operations team.
  • Gather, analyze, and reconcile large datasets from multiple sources to support regulatory closure documentation and internal reporting.
  • Build, maintain, and automate Excel-based dashboards and tracking tools to monitor regulatory remediation progress, providing real-time metrics and insights.
  • Design and maintain PowerPoint decks and reporting materials used to brief senior leadership on key data trends, issues, and resolution timelines.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, translating complex data findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Deliver concise, well-structured presentations to Senior Leadership that support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze trends and identify anomalies within regulatory and operational data to ensure reporting accuracy and flag issues proactively.
  • Ensure reporting and metrics outputs meet quality standards, control expectations, and align to enterprise data governance protocols.
  • Partner with Compliance and Assurance teams (Enterprise Data Operations, IA, COO organizations, and other Reporting teams) to ensure alignment and consistency in delivery.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clarity and transparency in data reporting and closure documentation processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, training, and execution with precision and timeliness.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with Citi Data Governance Policies, Standards and Procedures.

Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: regulatory reporting, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience.
  • Must have experience with data analysis, data reconciliation and data reporting
  • Strong Excel programming skills.
  • Able to leverage strong business acumen to effectively interact with senior leaders and a broad variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Process design or improvement minded.
  • Experience with enterprise program and initiative reporting.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Organizationally savvy; understands systems, regulatory and management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret. Pragmatic problem solver, forward thinker with independence of thought.
  • Financial industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
