Job Overview:

We are looking for an Entry to Mid-Level IT and Security Support Specialist to provide technical support, system administration, and security monitoring duties. This role will involve managing Microsoft 365 environments, performing system administration tasks, monitoring security systems, and assisting with various IT-related duties. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in both IT and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:
    • System Administration:
      • Manage and maintain Windows servers and workstations
      • Perform routine system updates, patch management, and backups
      • Configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
        • Security Monitoring:
          • Monitor security tools and systems (e.g. SIEM, antivirus, intrusion detection systems) for potential threats or vulnerabilities
          • Assist in responding to security incidents and conducting initial investigations
          • Support compliance with security policies and best practices
            • Microsoft 365 Administration:
              • Administer Microsoft 365 environment, including user account management, permissions, and auditing
              • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
              • Support email security, data loss prevention, and configuration of M365 security features
                • Technical Support:
                  • Provide Tier 1-2 support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
                  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding employees, including setting up accounts and equipment
                  • Additional Tasks:
                    • Document IT and security procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
                    • Stay updated on emerging IT and cybersecurity trends to recommend improvements

                    Qualifications:
                    • Education: Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
                    • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity (entry-level candidates with relevant certifications or internships will be considered)
                    • Technical Skills:
                      • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
                      • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
                      • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
                      • Experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection) is a plus
                      • Experience with Azure cloud platform is a plus
