Job Title: Senior Network Engineer III (Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, SD-WAN)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer III to manage network operations and project support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), load balancing (F5), switching, wireless networking, Cisco ACI, Fortinet SD-WAN, and Aviatrix Cloud. This role requires hands-on experience in network performance management, troubleshooting, service delivery, and strategic operations planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tier 3+ operational and project support, resolving critical business issues.
- Independently manage network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues and recommending design improvements.
- Configure and maintain Cisco switches, routers, and wireless devices.
- Troubleshoot LAN switching issues (VTP, STP) and perform packet analysis across multiple platforms.
- Resolve routing protocol issues BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and ensure network stability.
- Manage DHCP servers and ensure seamless IP address allocation.
- Perform change controls, process documentation updates, and portal maintenance.
- Execute capacity planning, performance analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Monitor and maintain network environments, collaborating with experienced team members.
- Automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency and system robustness.
- Coordinate with network service providers and matrixed resources.
- Refresh heat maps, create Visio diagrams, and develop operations plans for WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and cloud integrations.
- Analyze statistical data to improve network and application performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience in Cisco Routing and Switching.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and LAN troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in load balancers (F5), Fortinet SD-WAN, and Aviatrix Cloud.
- Experience maintaining DHCP servers and managing network infrastructure.
- Ability to automate network processes for improved efficiency.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for operational reporting and project collaboration.
