Job Title: Engineering Project Specialist
Remote
3+ months contract
Pay range - $50 to $60/hr on w2 (depends on exp)
Summary:
We are a collaborative Project Management team within a Product Design organization, composed of Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) and Project Specialists (EPSs). As an EPS, your primary responsibilities will include structuring complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), creating build matrices, and processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support build activities.
You ll work with a passionate group of professionals who are committed to engineering precision and high-quality product development across various materials and product lines. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset to tackle challenges in fast-paced environments.
Description:

Structure and manage complex BOMs

Create, manage, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

Develop and maintain build matrices for prototype and production builds

Coordinate with suppliers to monitor material availability and timelines

Contribute to allocation management and track shipment notifications

Ensure compliance with product security and configuration management requirements

Experience managing and organizing large data sets

Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal

Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a time-sensitive environment

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proven experience monitoring material requirements to support product builds

Experience working with overseas vendors preferred

Ability to drive deadlines and effectively communicate with contract manufacturers or part vendors

Proficient in MS Excel, Agile, and SAP

Strong understanding of configuration management

Demonstrated experience managing complex hardware BOMs
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree or 3+ years of relevant industry experience in manufacturing, retail, or supply chain industries.
