Purpose:
In this role you will join the Joints R&D Special Services Team which is comprised of two distinct groups, Made to Order (MTO) and Prototype Services. The MTO group develop and supply low volume, customized Orthopaedics hip, knee and extremities devices, upon request. Developing unique solutions to address individual surgeon and patient needs, predominantly for the North American market.

You will:
  • Assists in the development of experimental plans, provides statistical analyses, and interprets scientific results.
  • Conduct design verification and validation activities.
  • Provide technical product support to our internal and external customers.
  • Ability to handle several projects concurrently.
  • Support drawing changes working with designers.
  • Solve design-related problems of existing products.
  • Update product development/DHF documentation. This may include risk management, RTM's, biocompatibility, usability, drawings, etc.

Qualifications

Education:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related subject area is required.

Required:
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly collaborative with good interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks and handling a dynamic and diverse workload.
  • Has strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience presenting in front of multidisciplinary audiences.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software is required as well as intermediate to advanced software skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred:
  • Highly motivated and can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction and can exhibit attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic engineering and scientific principles.
  • Identifies and communicates basic problems and issues in a timely manner.
  • Interest in medical device/orthopedic fields.
  • Establish and cultivate collaboration and partnership internally and externally.
  • Has a good sense of priorities and manages time well.
Other:
  • This position may require up to 10% travel, domestic or international.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$61,000 -$95,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
