Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring for a Data Analyst for a major Healthcare company.
6 month contract-to-hire.
FULLY REMOTE anywhere in the United States.
You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
About the role:
We assess staffing implications of resource allocations, collaborate with stakeholders to gather data on effort, and monitor spend to ensure budget alignment.
We identify budget shift opportunities, track KPIs and benefits, provide data insights for strategic goals, and build scenario models to support operations and project prioritization.
We are a strategic business partner to portfolio leaders and IT Finance to manage financial performance, resource allocation, and portfolio health, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and governance policies. This role provides early risk indicators and delivers insights into initiative health and value delivery to meet organizational objectives.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree
2+ years minimum years of related experience.
Technical Skills:
ServiceNow Data & PPM Knowledge
Understanding of ServiceNow PPM data structures and project management workflows
Ability to work with exported ServiceNow data at both practitioner and data levels
Analysis and articulation of what is occurring the in the data
Data Architecture & Modeling
Experience designing layered data models (Staging ? Core ? Access)
Strong understanding of data normalization and curation principles
Advanced Excel Expertise
Power Query (ETL, data transformation, normalization)
VBA macros (automation, logic handling)
Scalable workbook design for large datasets
Healthcare experience a plus.
Day to Day:
Analyze health management programs including: data collection, validation and outcome measurement (may include: financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member data).
IRS, CMS, HHSC, HEDIS reporting
Internal data cleansing and data reconciliation analysis
Trend analysis in various functional areas of health care management
Create and generate reports through MS-Excel, MS-Access, and SQL using Business Objects interface and direct links to core databases (ODS/EDW)
Produce reports for and interface with senior management and internal and external stakeholders
Gather and interpret business requirements and monitor data trends to proactively identify issues
Execute data changes and update core systems as needed
Handle multiple projects and timelines effectively and communicate risks and issues to manager regularly
Assist with training lower level Data Analysts
Performs other duties as assigned
