Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Analyst for a hybrid contract in Austin, Texas (3 days remote, 2 days onsite). The QA Automation Analyst will develop and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing, prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements, and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders. The role involves tracking test case execution, logging defects, maintaining traceability matrices, and supporting the development team across dev, test, and UAT environments. The analyst will troubleshoot defects, ensure software quality, and work closely with Agile teams to deliver software releases on time.
Responsibilities:
Investigate and diagnose quality complaints, track down components, and recommend corrective actions. Verify logs, databases, and other data to track and flag quality concerns and improvements. Develop and maintain test scripts for manual and automated testing. Prepare UAT test cases, align them with business requirements, and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders. Track test case execution and provide reporting. Use Jira to log and track defects. Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices. Support the development team in dev, test, and UAT environments and troubleshoot defects as required. Work within an Agile environment and coordinate UAT schedules, communicate progress to stakeholders, and provide recommendations for go/no-go decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
8 years of experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans
8 years of experience with software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process
8 years of experience with Xray Test Case management tool
8 years of experience writing SQL queries to perform CRUD operations
8 years of experience using CI/CD pipelines to enhance software development testing processes
8 years of experience conducting API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar tools
8 years of experience in test automation using UFT
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Object-Oriented Programming
Experience working with state health and human services agencies or similar systems
