Title: ServiceNow Developer

A ServiceNow Developer designs, builds, and customizes solutions on the ServiceNow platform, focusing on workflow automation, custom apps, integrations, and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, using JavaScript, scripting, and ITIL knowledge to meet business needs, while collaborating with teams and ensuring platform stability, integrity, and compliance. Key duties involve translating requirements into technical designs, developing workflows, forms, UI elements, and integrations, plus testing, debugging, documentation, and supporting platform upgrades and user issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Certifications Mandatory: Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Development:
Build and customize applications, workflows, business rules, UI components, and integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Collaboration:
Work with IT and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Configuration:
Configure core modules like Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog.
- Testing & Quality:
Perform unit testing, support UAT, debug issues, and ensure code quality.
- Documentation:
Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and process workflows.
- Support:
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and handle platform upgrades/patching.
- Best Practices:
Implement industry best practices (ITIL) and stay updated on new ServiceNow features.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Technical: Strong JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, Glide API, HTML/CSS, web services.
- Platform: Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, ITSM, ITOM, etc.
- Methodology: Familiarity with ITIL V3/4 principles.
- Experience: Experience with customizations, integrations, and workflow automation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in CS or related field often preferred.
