Senior Network Observability Engineer SME

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a long-term contract-possible hire Senior Network Observability Engineer SME in Pleasanton, CA. This role is Hybrid or Remote.

Summary:
This individual will play a key role in building and maintaining robust observability dashboards, streamlining processes, and enabling broader visibility across teams. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cloud-native monitoring tools, network infrastructure, and enterprise observability platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, adjust, and maintain enterprise Grafana dashboards (non-open source)
* Establish processes and frameworks to support dashboard requests from cross-functional teams
* Collaborate with stakeholders to enable and extend observability and monitoring capabilities
* Integrate data from Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OCI, and Microsoft/Oracle native tooling into dashboards
* Maintain the performance and reliability of observability tools and workflows
* Act as a subject matter expert for Grafana and cloud monitoring tools
* Support network visibility by applying expertise in network metrics, traffic flow, and cloud infrastructure

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Grafana SME working with the enterprise version (not open source)
* Experience with network monitoring, metrics analysis, and performance tuning
* Strong background in cloud observability and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Platform Operations Suite, OCI Observability tools, etc.)
* Deep knowledge of cloud environments: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
* Strong scripting and automation skills for dashboard/data integration (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.) are a plus
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to create dashboards that provide actionable insights and real-time monitoring

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
