We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Engineering to join our team. This is a permanent position offering an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage a team of skilled engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating project schedules, and managing capital projects. This role involves a high level of responsibility and requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Manager of Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing engineering strategies, procedures, and business plans to support the company's overall objectives.
2. Leading and managing the engineering team to ensure efficient operation and meet project deadlines.
3. Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
4. Overseeing the planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
5. Managing maintenance systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
6. Liaising with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
8. Evaluating the performance of the engineering team and conducting regular performance reviews.
9. Identifying training needs and providing coaching and professional development opportunities for the engineering team.
10. Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior engineering management role within the CPG industry.
3. Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and capital projects.
4. Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and their implementation.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in using project management software.
10. A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.
