Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring an Weights and Mass Property Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to support our in weights engineering team based in Everett, WA.

As a Weights and Mass Properties Engineer - Product Development, you will be responsible for developing models to predict fly-away weight, as well as supporting trade studies. You will work closely with design teams to track design changes and to understand sizing parameters and requirements that provide alternative weight-efficient solutions.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops current and forecast weight, balance and mass properties data
  • Participates in defining weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements
  • Participates in developing customer specification commitments
  • Provides routine vehicle or system configuration guidance
  • Supports individual design team weight control efforts
  • Estimates, calculates and measures and verifies mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems
  • Participates in developing and maintaining weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems
  • Generates weight and balance reports
  • Participates in developing and implementing new processes and tools
  • Works under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience with weights and/or mass properties engineering, particularly in the aerospace or automotive industries.
  • 2+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (i.e., CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Basic understanding of aircraft design, weight management, and loadability principles.
  • Experience using a mass properties database to track weight, center of gravity, and inertia.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Summary Pay Range for Associate (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $100,300 - $135,700
