Security Architect L5 (Senior Prisma Access)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Security Architect L5 (Senior Prisma Access).

Summary:
We're looking for a Level 5 Sr. Network Security Architect with deep expertise in Palo Alto Prisma Access, SD-WAN, and next-generation firewall technologies to join our elite architecture team. This is a client-facing, post-sales delivery role focused on end-to-end implementation; not managed services oversight. A clear communicator, hands-on expert, and natural teacher who has successfully led multiple enterprise-scale deployments and guided clients through pitfalls toward best practices. The Security Architect will work across several concurrent projects and act as a technical team lead, ensuring successful outcomes in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and delivery of advanced network security solutions, primarily around Palo Alto Prisma Access, SD-WAN, VPN, routing, and next-gen firewalls
* Act as technical lead across multiple simultaneous engagements, offering guidance and oversight to junior engineers and customer stakeholders
* Educate and guide enterprise customers through implementation pitfalls, best practices, and architectural decisions post-sale
* Conduct workshops, technical assessments, and road-mapping sessions with clients to align technical designs with business needs
* Serve as a technical SME for Palo Alto solutions, including Strata Cloud Manager, Cloud SWG (browser isolation), and other advanced features
* Participate in pre-sales as needed, offering expert insights into solution scoping, delivery models, and feasibility
* Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure clarity, consistency, and successful outcomes

REQUIREMENTS:
* Industry certifications strongly preferred: Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE, PCSAE, etc.), CCNP Security, or similar
* 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and security architecture, including significant time in client-facing roles
* Proven expert-level delivery experience with Prisma Access (Level 5) in large-scale, multi-site environments
* Deep knowledge of Strata Cloud Manager, Cloud-delivered Security Services, and advanced threat protection
* Strong communication skills with the ability to teach, mentor, and lead both internal teams and clients
* Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders-including C-level leadership
* Experience with end-to-end delivery-not just implementation, but strategy, design, deployment, and optimization
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple projects

Strong hands-on experience with:
* Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
* SD-WAN architectures
* VPN, routing protocols, ZTNA, SASE
* Security policy design, segmentation, and cloud access controls

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
