Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer with an active top secret clearance clearance.

Position Roles and Responsibilities: As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

Customer Interaction:

  • Interface with customers to collect and clarify requirements related to network services.


Network Management:

  • Manage network communications testing, installation, and support for the MAN/WAN system.
  • Mentor and guide other networking team members.
  • Identify and diagnose issues affecting network performance using software and hardware tools.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance and improve network performance.
  • Troubleshoot network infrastructure systems as needed.


System Engineering:

  • Perform system engineering design, integration, and implementation tasks.
  • Coordinate personnel, hardware, software, budget, facilities, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors during outages or periods of degraded system performance.


Documentation and Training:

  • Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and set standards for network components.
  • Provide client consulting and training on network facilities usage.
  • Research and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.


Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware tools to troubleshoot and isolate problems.
  • Gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity.
  • Offer internal consulting, technical guidance, and support to application developers and company management.
  • Assist in internal training programs.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Active top secret clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience providing Tier IV escalation support for CBP's Enterprise Wide Area Network Infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in configuring Cisco network routers, switches, and wireless controllers for LAN/WAN connectivity.
  • Knowledge of network design and comprehensive site analysis.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Firewall design and configuration.
  • Root Cause Analysis support.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network connectivity and latency issues, including multiple MPLS networks in a highly secure environment.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years of network engineering experience, particularly in Medium to Large WAN networks.
  • Proficiency in Cisco routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting (up to CCNP level).
  • Familiarity with ASRs, Generation 2, and 1900-7600 routers, Cisco NGFWs, and F5 Load Balancers.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, including sub-netting and routing (both IPV4 and IPV6).
  • Experience with Riverbed WAN Optimization.
  • Deployment and maintenance knowledge of DNS/InfoBlox.
  • Familiarity with Fusion Center concepts.
  • Understanding of Cisco Office Extend.
  • BGP experience is required.
  • Proficiency in EIGRP and OSPF routing.
  • Knowledge of Cisco DMVPN concepts, Next Hop Resolution Protocol (NHRP), and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF).
  • Skilled in using troubleshooting and performance management tools such as Cisco Prime, Riverbed SteelCentral, NetScout, and Gigamon.
