Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer Inc. is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join the Racks Solutions group, who can assist in product development, testing and product debugging. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist Research and Development Engineers and product managers as needed in product development tasks by providing Open Box Testing for production, warehouse, rack integration and server sample tests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Perform open box testing for production systems, warehouse systems, rack integration and server sample systems
Responsible for rack inventory control
Provide System level and rack level troubleshooting
To review and perform failure analysis with report
To work with cross-functional teams for system testing and assist in product development
Be familiar with rack product specification, characteristic, performance, reliability testing procedure and board level prototyping
Generate test report and record the complete test process, configuration, findings and results
* Required at least 25% travel to customer's data centers

Qualifications:
BS/MS in CS or CE with 3 year of working experience in hardware testing is strongly preferred
Experience in using Linux and Switches
Knowledge on server Hardware and architecture
Strong troubleshooting skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to generate test report
Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
Solid communications skills both verbal and written
Electronics, digital and components knowledge background
Able to work independently and be a good team player

Salary Range

$78,000 - $142,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
