RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a UX/Interaction Designer in Chicago, IL.
Duties Include:
* Tackle open-ended challenges by gathering insights, exploring user needs, and shaping thoughtful design solutions
* Lead design efforts across multiple initiatives including intranet modernization, hiring platforms, and marketing campaigns
* Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life
* Communicate design decisions clearly, adapting your message for different audiences
* Balance pixel-perfect execution with strategic thinking, keeping both detail and big-picture goals in mind
* Work within established design systems while identifying opportunities to evolve patterns and components
* Contribute to team growth by sharing feedback, mentoring peers, and fostering collaboration
* Manage priorities across multiple fast-moving projects with confidence and clarity
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing impactful work across digital products and features
* Strong foundation in interaction and visual design, including layout, typography, and responsive design principles
* Proven ability to connect design decisions to broader product strategy and user goals
* Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies and how to apply them in real-world scenarios
* Expert-level proficiency in Figma-including components, variants, prototyping, and branching
* Experience with prototyping tools; Motion design capabilities are a plus
* Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and inclusive design practices
* Familiarity with agile workflows and collaboration with development teams
* Experience working alongside UX researchers and applying research insights to design decisions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
