Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership for a cloud-hosted platform that supports healthcare oversight, monitoring, and analytics. This role will help define and guide technical strategies, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable delivery of infrastructure, data, and application components supporting key health and human services programs. You will collaborate with technical leads, developers, cloud engineers, and client stakeholders to architect end-to-end solutions that meet functional and compliance requirements across the enterprise platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead solution architecture for cloud-based environments supporting performance monitoring and reporting
- Define technical strategies for platform integration, application design, data access, and system interoperability
- Provide architectural oversight of cloud infrastructure, databases, dashboards, and data pipelines
- Ensure systems are designed with scalability, availability, and security (including PHI/PII protection) in mind
- Guide the design of data models, APIs, and microservices architectures to support reporting and monitoring use cases
- Evaluate tools, frameworks, and design patterns; make recommendations to align with project objectives
- Serve as a technical advisor across the full software development life cycle, from design through deployment and operations
- Maintain documentation of architecture decisions, workflows, and compliance considerations
- Support alignment with federal and state IT standards and participate in technical discussions with stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture roles
- Proven expertise designing solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including structured/unstructured data, data lakes, and warehouse solutions
- Experience working with secure data, including compliance with HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP, or state-level policies
- Proficiency in cloud-native services, infrastructure-as-code, and modern DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with application integration patterns, APIs, and middleware solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience working with Medicaid, CHIP, or other public sector healthcare programs
- Understanding of performance measurement frameworks (e.g., HEDIS, CAHPS) and managed care systems
- Background in designing solutions for dashboards, quality management tools, or enterprise monitoring systems
