Title: System Engineer, Financial Reporting-ERP Support

Title: System Engineer, Financial Reporting-ERP Support
Develop and analyze financial reports to ensure state compliance and inform organizational financial decisions, while independently crafting and maintaining the annual budget. Provide technical assistance and create innovative computer programs to enhance productivity across various departments. Perform work independently with minimal supervision, applying intermediate-level knowledge to serve as an experienced individual contributor.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical support for Munis modules related to finance, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Purchasing, and Payroll.
- Generate monthly Board of Education financial reports with charts and conduct vendor payment analysis to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Create comprehensive internal and public budget documentation for publication on the District's website, ensuring compliance with state requirements such as the Transparency in Government Act (TIGA) Reporting Audit History File.
- Design, program, and maintain computer systems, databases, spreadsheets, and files to support various departmental needs.
- Maintain an updated Chart of Accounts and generate accurate financial statements such as the General Ledger to facilitate informed decision-making processes.
- Analyze complex financial data using intermediate problem-solving skills to enhance department performance and make necessary modifications to processes based on findings.
- Manage or assist with the implementation of new Munis modules or enhancements.
- Calculate salary accruals and accounts payable data and create corresponding journal entries for accurate fiscal year reporting.
- Provide technical support for all hardware and software within Finance and assist in gathering data requested by state auditors during annual audits.
- Assist in closing financial books at year-end by generating essential reports and compiling data.
- Identify problems and resolve moderately complex issues as they arise.
- Make minor modifications to processes to enhance the performance of the department as appropriate.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Work with finance staff to troubleshoot and resolve Munis-related financial system issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years of related experience required.
