As an Engineering Aide / Project Aide, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, test, and manufacturer of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. The following are examples of duties that may be included:
Reviewing technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies, perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation material, and handle peer reviews
Generating engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schedules, and schematics
Parts and design tracking from detail design to order, fabrication, receiving, disbursement, cleaning, installation and test
The Successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences
Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers
Strong skills in use of CREO
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
This position will eventually require obtaining a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree in a STEM field, related work experience and/or technical training. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.
Mechanical design experience, including Computer Aided Design.
Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills
Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a diverse team environment
Ability to obtain security clearance
Desired skills
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences
Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely on a weekly basis to management and customers
Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers
Microsoft Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management
Performing design assessments and developing data driven solutions
Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills

Work Schedule Information

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $48,500 - $85,675. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
