Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for smart building controls? We're looking for a dynamic individual to oversee control systems projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion with the highest quality standards. Your role will involve managing client engagements, budgeting, logistics, installation, and coordination with various construction trades to ensure seamless integration. You'll lead cross-functional teams, navigate project challenges, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders, making sure every aspect of the project runs smoothly. If you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, strong knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC controls, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, we want to hear from you!

responsibilities:


  1. End-to-End Project Ownership & Execution: Oversee the complete project lifecycle for assigned scopes, managing planning, client engagement, procurement, budgeting, installation logistics, execution, and timely close-out, including all necessary documentation and billing.
  2. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact, driving clear and consistent communication and coordination among all internal and external stakeholders, including clients, property managers, building staff, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  3. Financial Management & Profitability Oversight: Maintain and monitor project financials, ensuring adherence to budgets, managing change orders to preserve established gross margins (GM), and overseeing customer billing and Labor Partner invoicing.
  4. Vendor & Labor Partner Management: Manage relationships with Labor Partners and vendors for all installation activities, including negotiation for go-back work and ensuring timely, effective completion of tasks to meet project standards.
  5. Proactive Problem Solving & Change Management: Identify, manage, and resolve project challenges, scope changes, and go-backs as they arise; communicate change order activities effectively and escalate resource needs to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with a blend of education and hands-on experience. A minimum of two years of project management experience specifically within the building controls sector is required. Key qualifications include:



  • Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls principles, and energy management solutions.
  • Familiarity interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management software and relevant control system technologies.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
