Job Description:


We're seeking a dynamic individual for a contract to hire IT Director of Warehouse Systems. The IT Director (WMS) oversees technology management, planning, and support for warehouse operations across our businesses. This role encompasses the strategic management of warehouse technologies, including warehouse management systems, controls systems, and more. The ideal candidate will drive technical solutions, collaborate across teams, and mentor others while ensuring systems operate effectively. Ideally the candidate would be local to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or Charlotte/Raleigh, NC areas.



What Will You Do?


* Lead the WMS/WCS program, overseeing strategy, roadmaps, and implementations.


* Develop comprehensive project management plans for technology implementations.


* Foster collaboration among stakeholders, including Warehouse Excellence and Operations teams.


* Cultivate strong relationships with regional leaders, providing technology guidance to drive business value.


* Manage WMS/WCS technologists, optimizing resources and budgets.


* Demonstrate financial acumen through budget management and payment processes.


* Facilitate communication and collaboration among various teams and stakeholders.


* Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering skill development.


* Coordinate Corporate IT and security initiatives related to warehouse operations technology.


* Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring alignment with technical roadmaps.


* Adapt to rapid changes while maintaining enthusiasm and sound judgment.


* Uphold high personal ethics and customer service focus.



What Experience Should You Have?


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


* 7-10 years of technology solutions experience.


* 3-5 years of experience leading technology teams.


* 7-10 years of Warehouse Management and Controls systems experience.


* Preferably experience with Korber HighJump WMS.


* Experience in the Beverage or Food industry is advantageous.



Skills and Abilities:


* Self-starter with strong project management skills (creating, owning, and driving the plan to completion)


* Relationship Management (emotional intelligence, motivation, drive, urgency, AND the ability to relate to our business partners in a "I'm here to help and be part of your team" way)


* Vendor Management (ability to have a cadence and create roadmaps to stay on supported and scalable technology)


* Proficient in presenting to senior management.


* Leadership skills with confidence under pressure.


* Understanding of warehouse and product line control systems.


* Familiarity with project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.


* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


* Effective time management skills.
