Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of developer experience.
  • 7+ years of JavaScript development experience.
  • Server-side Node.js or other JavaScript/Typescript development experience.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to summarize and document technical processes.
  • Proficiency working in both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Strong database and SQL server skills.
  • Solid understanding of the different types of code-coverage and writing Unit/Functional tests.
  • Experience with Active Directory and LDAP.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Typescript experience.
  • Basic experience with Linux server administration.
  • T-SQL and SQL Server experience.
  • Experience with modern CSS techniques and front-end performance optimization.
  • Java/Groovy/Gradle experience for occasional updates and debugging of Jenkins pipelines.
  • Experience with TFS for reviewing legacy code and GIT for all other SCM.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry - particularly other banks.
  • Banking experience or high-regulated industry.
  • Architecture experience.
  • System integration experience.
  • Exposure to UX/UI design concepts.
  • Some exposure to C# .NET (not the primary skillset).
  • Software tech migration (moving from Windows to Linux)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop code, perform code reviews, write corresponding unit tests.
  • Collaborate with a small team of developers and share development responsibilities.
  • Full stack development experience (w/extensive backend experience e.g. GraphQL).
  • Willing to play multiple roles within a scrum team (e.g. Change release paperwork, JIRA tickets, test writing).
