Job Title: Capital Markets Middle Office Consultant

Location: Charlotte, NC | Hybrid 3x/week | Uptown

Contract Length: 6+ months

Pay Range: $55-60/hr

Top Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Middle Office or Capital Markets
• Extensive knowledge of derivatives, fixed income, collateral, and post-trade processes
• Proven project management experience, including creating plans, managing timelines, mitigating roadblocks, and driving decisions
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
• Strong business analysis expertise-facilitating discussions, gathering requirements, and analyzing data
• Familiarity with change management processes within financial institutions
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Plusses:

• Experience in reducing vendor licenses by analyzing use cases and collaborating with operations and technology teams
• Prior involvement in process redesigns related to clearing memberships and system flow improvements
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle management for derivatives, fixed income, and collateral

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Capital Markets Consultant with extensive Middle Office experience to support key change initiatives within our trading and operations environment. The successful candidate will act as a hands-on "do-er," driving process improvements, coordinating cross-functional discussions, and facilitating system and procedural enhancements across Middle Office functions. This role demands a solid understanding of traded products, data analysis, and impact assessments to ensure projects are delivered on time and deliver measurable value.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders across Middle Office, Operations, and Technology to gather data, clarify requirements, and determine next steps
• Support change projects such as onboarding new clearing memberships, process redesigns, and system flow improvements
• Conduct impact analyses to evaluate the cross-functional implications of proposed changes
• Track project timelines and critical paths, coordinating efforts across teams to ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate with Ops and Tech teams to analyze use cases, identify opportunities to reduce vendor licenses, and implement cost-saving solutions
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the full trade lifecycle for traded products, including derivatives, fixed income, and collateral management
• Contribute to the Middle Office change management group, ensuring strategic initiatives are aligned and effectively executed
• Perform detailed system impact assessments and facilitate change management processes within the organization
