Ellucian Degree Works / Banner Consultant

Senior-level Degree Works / Banner Consultant needed for fully remote, direct hire position based in the United States. Must have extensive Degree Works experience, along with other functional/technical skills (querying, report writing, ). The candidate should be able to operate as the link between technical resources and customers in functional areas.

Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert on Degree Works including, but not limited to, understanding the Scribe language and functionality within Degree Works; the audit worksheet functionality; exceptions, petitions, and waivers; the analytical capabilities of the software and related tools; and how those components interoperate to impact output and audit results for the customer.
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences at 2-year, 4-year, and graduate institutions, addressing end-users as well as senior management.
• Communicate effectively internally through written reports, regular meetings and teleconferences, to keep management and co-workers apprised of software and customer issues that impact the successful and smooth deployment of Degree Works.
• Input course and program requirements using Degree Works tools.
• Review curriculum and requirements for academic programs and ensure they are accurately and promptly scribed (coded) in DegreeWorks.
• Test and implement Degree Works upgrades as they are available.
• Provide customer service, training, consulting, and technical support in areas related to Degree Works and Banner Student.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Scribe
• Strong understanding of Banner Student module
• Experience with reporting tools desired
• Experience with PL/SQL packages, procedure, functions etc. a plus
• SSB Banner 9 web development a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Currently residing in the U.S.
• Eligible to work for any U.S. employer without ever needing sponsorship
