Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Support ILM-related activities including table reorganization using CTAS.
• Implement range partitioning on ILM_DT and reference partitioning for child tables.
• Assist in designing and executing data purging strategies in compliance with retention policies.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure minimal impact during ILM transitions.
• Manage database security, user access, roles, and auditing.
• Monitor and maintain database health, availability, and capacity planning.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using PL/SQL, shell scripting, or other tools.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and database performance.
• Use tools like AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL Trace for diagnostics and tuning.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in high-volume transactional systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle partitioning, CTAS, and reference partitioning.
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle CC&B data model is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, shell scripting, and automation of DBA tasks.
• Familiarity with Oracle Data Pump, RMAN, and Advanced Compression.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hosted database/application.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata or similar high-performance platforms.
• Exposure to utility domain and Oracle CC&B functional modules.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is a plus.
