V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager PMP for our premier client in Richmond, Virginia.

WHAT YOULL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications

• Agile Scrum Master certification
• PMP certification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is required - no other certification qualifies.

Education and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery, Network infrastructure, Network architecture, wireless technologies, Cloud implementation, vendor management.
• Familiarity with telecommunications, network technologies, network standards and practices.
• Manage projects consisting of network switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, fiber optics and internet services.
• Experience in the modern fabric-based networks - Network Fabric, underlay, overlay and SD WAN, Experience with VoIP infrastructure a plus.
• Experience managing large, multi-stream projects.
• Experience in reviewing carrier bid feedback and present carrier/circuit recommendations to the Management Committee for approval.
• Work with the cross-functional IT teams to identify/extend, enable and deliver a scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solution that can be managed and delivered.
• Responsibility for integrating technical knowledge and business knowledge to develop innovative solutions to automate projects activities.

Preferred:

• Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management.

• Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server)

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and communicate with ITD management and staff to coordinate work tasks and resourcing.
• Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status and disseminate information to team members and customers as defined in the communications plan.
• Define, measure, and clearly communicate progress with metrics.
• Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
• Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitate design workshops for assigned projects.
• Ensure definition of test objectives, designed test plans and test cases for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the execution of projects including contract management and working with the procurement office(s).
• Provide the management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Support system and application training efforts.
• Serve as a hands-on technical project manager with development staff and business groups.
