Job Title: Product Owner Banking / Financial Services Domain

Location: NY/NJ/CT (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in the Banking or Financial Services domain to lead the development and delivery of innovative financial products and digital solutions. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into actionable product requirements that drive customer value and business growth.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of Product Owner experience within Banking domains.
Experience in Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP)
Strong understanding of retail banking, lending, payments, credit cards, wealth management, or digital banking platforms.
Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Expertise in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog grooming.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as KYC, AML, PCI-DSS, or PSD2.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
Work closely with Scrum Masters and development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.
Conduct impact analysis and define clear acceptance criteria for all user stories.
Partner with UX/UI designers to enhance customer experience and usability.
Monitor product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to continuously improve offerings.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data security, and financial governance standards.
Facilitate sprint reviews, demos, and stakeholder updates, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Drive innovation and support digital transformation initiatives within the financial ecosystem.
