Senior Site Reliability Engineer/Senior System Engineer (Contract)

Job Type: Temporary (Contract)

Location: Hybrid - Orlando, FL or Los Angeles, CA (3-4 days onsite per week, with flexible remote options)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure, tools, and services that power both internal and customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and system reliability, with a strong focus on scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for high-availability applications.
  • Troubleshoot across the full infrastructure/application stack: network, server, OS, application, database, storage, and IAM.
  • Support and optimize Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Chef.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
  • Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Maintain code repositories and version control practices using GitHub or GitLab.
  • Work with data formats such as JSON and XML for system integrations.


Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing large-scale production workloads in AWS.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront, ALB/ELB, IAM, and RDS.
  • Proficiency in Linux server administration; intermediate or higher experience with Windows Server.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, Perl, and Terraform.
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
