RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking an Infrastructure Engineer IV.
Key Responsibilities:
* Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement advanced IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services; Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture diagrams and documentation
* System Management: Oversee the administration of enterprise-level systems, including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, and backup solutions; Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of all infrastructure components
* Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures across all infrastructure components; Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Troubleshooting and Support: Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure issues, providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for critical incidents; Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve system disruptions
* Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and resource utilization, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks; Implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and throughput
* Project Management: Manage and execute large-scale infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments; Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures; Prepare regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and project progress
* Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior infrastructure engineers and IT staff; Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to foster team development
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or lead role; Experience in managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure is essential
* Relevant industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are highly desirable
Technical Skills:
* Expertise in server and storage technologies (Windows, Linux, VMware, SAN, NAS)
* Proficiency with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure)
* Strong knowledge of networking principles and technologies
* Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.)
* Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, and Ansible)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
