We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Fellow, Full-Stack Engineer to join our AI Hub team. This role is located in New York, New York.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Provide expert-level software development services and technical support, consulting with internal business groups and IT leadership on strategic issues and complex problems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain well-designed, testable, and efficient full-stack code, including frontend and backend components, applying security and privacy principles.
  • Lead the development of flowcharts, layouts, documentation, and test-automation suites to satisfy business requirements and ensure software functionality and currency.
  • Mentor junior engineers, actively participate in code reviews, and advocate for innovative technology solutions while staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree is beneficial.
  • 18+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in full-stack development and proficiency in languages and frameworks such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases, architecture design principles, application frameworks, and containerization.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus, along with broad experience in multi-platform development tools and vendor-specific methodologies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor others and present IT strategies to business leaders.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
