Description
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to manage the financial planning, tracking, and reporting as well as supporting business processes and operations.
SAIC is seeking a Chief Engineer to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team . A successful candidate will support the team with a focus on technical leadership, including coordinating and leading resolution of enterprise level technical issues, conducting product technical assessments, mentoring junior technical staff, and ensuring technical baseline updates and corrections are tracked and accomplished.

- Provide technical leadership and direction in order to meet customer, program, and quality requirements
- Maintain cognizance of relevant technical issues and concerns and provide recommendations
- Coordinate and lead the resolution of enterprise level technical issues, engage with appropriate SE&I team, document resolution and ensure technical baseline updates and/or corrections are tracked and accomplished
- Conduct product technical assessments to ensure solutions are integrated and effectively meet customer needs prior to delivery
- Management and review of program execution required to meet or exceed performance work statement (PWS) requirements for technical, schedule, cost, and quality performance; perform hiring, supervision, and performance assessments
- Support process improvement and innovation, adapt proven and effective practices to identify impediments and/or mitigate risks to effective program execution, ensure effective communication and collaboration across the team
Identify opportunities to leverage corporate staff, processes or tools and ensure the proper collection of metrics to measure execution effectiveness
Qualifications
Requirements
- Master's Degree with 12+ Years of engineering experience
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the Aerospace or DoD working across space, ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system integration requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met
- Experience serving as a team, project or program manager on performance-based contracts for the U.S. Government, experience developing cost and schedule deliverables and managing to baseline costs and schedules to include the identification and management of risks, demonstrated experience working with Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems
- Experience writing and delivering documents and briefings, demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
- Global Positioning System mission and systems knowledge and experience
