Investment Accounting Business Analyst-Mostly Remote

This position is mostly remote but will require working onsite the first five days of the assignment located in a major city close to where you live. Attending occasional meetings at the same locateion may also be required.

Compensation-$65.00 per hour W2, $ 75.00 per hour Corp to Corp as an Independent Contractor.

Our client  is seeking a Technical Business Analyst, with specific Financial Investment Risk and Performance experience, to support our client as a remote contractor. The selected candidate will:

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including internal and external parties, to gather and analyze investment accounting data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Write comprehensive business requirements and document operational workflows, utilizing diagramming techniques to enhance clarity and understanding.
Evaluate proposed solution designs and data models, providing constructive feedback to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Participate in large-scale data migrations and implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to project timelines.
Utilize agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage tasks and track progress, adapting to changing priorities as needed.

Although this position is primarily remote, occasional client meetings onsite may occur, and the first week of employment must be onsite (M-F, 40 hours) at a corporate office near the selected candidates residence.

Required skills 

Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of MO IBOR accounting data.
Strong expertise in Investment Risk and Performance, along with Security Master
Proficient in data modeling, SQL, and modern data management practices; experience with Snowflake is preferred.
Familiarity with third-party investment accounting systems such as Eagle STAR, Aladdin, or CRIMS is highly desirable.
Experience working in an agile environment, with standard tools such as JIRA and Confluence, is strongly preferred.
