Position: Salesforce Architect

Duration: 6 Months with Extension

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota (Onsite from Day 1)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, drive architecture decisions, and ensure alignment between business goals and Salesforce platform capabilities. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, security models, and multi-cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of Salesforce solutions, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into robust and scalable Salesforce architectural solutions.
• Create high-level architecture diagrams, data models, and technical documentation to support solution delivery.
• Define integration strategies between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and Platform Events.
• Provide governance and best practices for data architecture, security, performance optimization, and DevOps.
• Guide and mentor development teams in implementing best practices, coding standards, and scalable design patterns.
• Evaluate and recommend AppExchange products, tools, or third-party services to enhance the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Oversee the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and manage environment strategy and release planning.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Support program and project management teams with technical oversight, risk assessment, and solution feasibility analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 2+ years in an architectural role.
• Expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, including multi-org strategy, data modeling, sharing and visibility, and governor limits.
• Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, JavaScript, and Salesforce APIs.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, role hierarchy, and field-level security.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise system integrations and data migration strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Copado, SFDX).

Certifications:

• Salesforce Architect Certifications (Highly Recommended):
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect
• Salesforce Certified System Architect.
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (ultimate certification for elite architects)

Nice to Have:

• Experience in specific Salesforce industries (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, or Nonprofit Cloud).
• Background in managing global Salesforce implementations or multi-org consolidations.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
