We re seeking an experienced Lead BSA Analyst to support a high-impact data analysis initiative. Your first project will involve analyzing a SQL Server database developed by the business, comparing it to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), identifying data gaps, and mapping discrepancies between systems.
This role requires strong data analysis experience, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to thrive in Agile environments. Prior lead or team-facing experience is a plus.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an initial duration of 3 months. At this time, we are unable to consider third-party candidates or those requiring visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business-created SQL Server databases and compare them with EDW environments
Identify gaps and perform data mapping across structured (databases) and unstructured (e.g., Excel) sources
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and the development team
Gather and document business and technical requirements, including source-to-target data mappings
Lead backlog refinement sessions to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and story points
Work with Product Owners and SMEs to decompose Epics into Features and Stories
Escalate requirements impediments to the Scrum Master in collaboration with application BSAs
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and risk identification
Required Skills:
Strong SQL/database skills (SQL Server, Redshift, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience analyzing both structured and unstructured data sources
Proven ability to write clear and detailed requirements and user stories
Strong understanding of Agile processes and backlog management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with EDW tools such as Snowflake, Python/PySpark, Infogix, and Tableau
Familiarity with Excel-based data sources and legacy business processes
Previous experience in a Lead BSA or senior-level Business Analyst role
Exposure to DataStage (nice to have, but not required
