Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle execution of medium-voltage (12 35 kV) electrical projects from initiation through commissioning and energization.
- Oversee and mentor PMs, APMs, Superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring safe, predictable, and high-quality project delivery.
- Own all core project management functions: RFIs, scheduling, change orders, budgets, submittals, logs, and direct field execution oversight.
- Maintain RFI logs, coordinate responses, and ensure timely distribution to engineering, field supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Build, price, and track change orders; maintain disciplined change-order logs using Accubid or equivalent tools.
- Manage submittal logs, expedite outstanding items, and ensure vendor documentation aligns with project requirements.
- Perform electrical take-offs, validate material quantities, and support procurement to maintain schedule alignment.
- Run weekly client meetings, internal coordination meetings, and daily huddles to ensure consistent communication and accountability.
- Onboard and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with site safety requirements and project specifications.
- Implement and maintain project controls across cost, schedule, productivity, and forecasting metrics.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, NEC requirements, and zero-incident culture expectations.
- Identify risks, lead schedule recoveries, and drive corrective actions in partnership with field leadership and project controls teams.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 3 5 years of experience managing high-voltage electrical projects ( 480V; ideally 12 35 kV) for an electrical contractor.
- Proven leadership running hyperscale/colocation data center, EV, semiconductor, utility solar, or heavy-industrial electrical projects.
- Hands-on ownership of RFIs, change orders, scheduling, budgeting, and submittal management.
- Demonstrated field leadership of electricians/subcontractors; must be able to manage 30 electricians daily.
- Experience with Accubid, Procore, Primavera/MS Project, or comparable project controls environments.
- Ability to lead client meetings, manage subcontractor interfaces, and oversee labor plans.
- Strong understanding of MV distribution, transformers, switchgear, commissioning, and energization processes.
- Ability to work full-time on-site with consistent field presence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical contractor background exclusively (owner-rep only backgrounds are not accepted unless the candidate personally managed field electrical execution).
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP; OSHA 30.
- Spanish bilingual capability for workforce coordination.
- Experience with NFPA 70E related certifications (CEST, CESCP, CESW, CEI) not required; can be provided.
Hard Exclusions
- Pure design/owner-rep/cost-only backgrounds without field electrical oversight.
- Union constraints preventing 610 schedules or onsite commitment.
- Inability or unwillingness to maintain required on-site presence.
