Position: Workday Functional Lead Advanced Scheduling & Labor Optimization
Location :Remote

Professional Summary:

Experienced Workday Functional Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in Workday HCM, Advanced Scheduling, and Labor Optimization across large-scale enterprise environments. Proven track record of leading complex Workday implementations and enhancements focused on workforce scheduling, compliance, and optimization. Adept at translating business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, configuring scheduling patterns, shift templates, and ensuring seamless integration with Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Payroll. Holds Workday Advanced Scheduling and Labor Optimization certifications. Experienced in agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, user training, and post-go-live support within industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
5+ years of Workday experience, with at least 2 years in Advanced Scheduling or Workforce Management.
Proven track record of leading Workday implementations or enhancements, particularly in Scheduling.
Strong understanding of compliance rules, labor laws, and workforce planning.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Workday certification in Advanced Scheduling, Time Tracking, or related modules is strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or other shift-based industries.
Familiarity with union agreements and complex labor scheduling rules.
  • Must have Certifications:

    • Workday Advanced Scheduling Certified

    • Workday Labor Optimization Certified

    • Workday Time Tracking Certified (optional, if applicable)

Relevant Experience:

  • Led the functional design, configuration, and implementation of the Workday Advanced Scheduling and Labor Optimization modules for shift-based enterprise environments.

  • Collaborated with HR, Operations, and Compliance teams to gather business requirements and design compliant, scalable workforce scheduling solutions.

  • Configured scheduling rules, work patterns, shift templates, and compliance parameters aligned with organizational labor laws and union agreements.

  • Integrated Advanced Scheduling seamlessly with Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Payroll modules to ensure accurate downstream processing.

  • Partnered with technical teams for integration development (EIB, Studio, PECI) and led data migration strategy from legacy scheduling systems.

  • Conducted unit testing, integration testing, and UAT, documenting and resolving defects for a successful deployment.

  • Led training sessions, created user documentation, and supported change management efforts for HR administrators and scheduling managers.

  • Served as the primary functional point-of-contact post-go-live for enhancements, issue triage, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Supported clients in healthcare and manufacturing sectors, addressing complex scheduling rules, shift differentials, and union labor compliance.
