1. Programmatic PDF Manipulation Expertise Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with automating and modifying PDF files-merging, bookmarking, hyperlinking, applying overlays, and optimizing-using any suitable technology. This is the core function of the role and cannot be compromised.
2. Process Automation and Error Handling The ability to build reliable, automated workflows that include logging, error recovery, and quality control is essential. Candidates should show experience in designing resilient systems that handle interruptions and maintain data integrity.
3. Technical Independence and Flexibility Candidates must be able to deliver outcomes regardless of the specific programming language or toolset. Whether using C/C++, JavaScript, or other technologies, they should be capable of adapting to the environment and achieving the required functionality.


Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to support advanced document processing and automation initiatives involving Adobe Acrobat workflows. This contractor will play a key role in optimizing PDF-based operations, developing automation solutions, and maintaining legacy tools critical to business functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical capabilities, with flexibility in technology use to achieve outcomes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Programmatically manipulate Adobe Acrobat files, including:

Merging, renaming, and copying PDFs
Managing bookmarks and hyperlinks
Applying confidentiality statements and overlays
Performing content-based quality checks
Optimizing file performance and structure
Reconciling files against narrative lists
Logging processes and handling error recovery
Splitting workloads based on file attributes
Support or develop Acrobat plug-ins (preferably using C/C++ and Adobe PDF Library SDK)
Automate workflows using scripting (e.g., JavaScript) and maintain Visual Basic-based legacy tools
Facilitate inter application communication (IAC) between Acrobat and other systems
Coordinate technical tasks and contribute to project planning and execution

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Adobe Acrobat plug-in development (C/C++ and SDK)
Proficiency in JavaScript for Acrobat scripting
Familiarity with Visual Basic and legacy tool support
Understanding of interapplication communication (IAC)
Strong project coordination and documentation skills
