Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Lakewood, CA (onsite)
Duration:12 + Months
Job Description:
- Design, configure, and maintain switching network infrastructures and wireless systems.
- Work extensively with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
- Troubleshoot network issues across Layer 1 (physical), Layer 2 (data link), and Layer 3 (network).
- Implement and manage network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Nagios) to ensure system uptime and performance.
- Assist in network planning and capacity management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure upgrades and security compliance.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardware refreshes.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (Cisco certification preferred).
- Solid understanding of network protocols and wireless networking standards.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring devices across Layers 1 3.
- Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible) is advantageous.
