The impact you will have in this role:

The Lead Test Engineer is responsible for independently leading Test Engineering teams. You will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. You are also accountable for the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures.

As a part of ETE team - The Enterprise Test Engineering (\"ETE\") family is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas including (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Other key focuses include regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing. Develops, conducts, and evaluates testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. In-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall project delivery from testing side with respect to test planning, estimation and status reports.
  • Co-ordinate across all teams Business, Dev and Testing teams across geography
  • Need to have passion and aggression on the project progress and delivery
  • Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and supervise defects to closure
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement automated test scripts
  • Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts
  • Review test cases / automation approach with team members to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback
  • Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines
  • Construct appropriate end-2-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals
  • Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
  • Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data.
  • Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered
  • Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Preferably from Capital Market domain
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination
  • In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes),
  • Experience with Test Engineering methodologies and Test Automation Frameworks
  • Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
  • Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
  • Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.
  • Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
  • Experience with test data management is a plus
  • Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
  • Experience in estimating, prioritizing, and planning testing activities
  • Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team.
