Data Analyst: Location: Berkeley heights, NJ
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to generate business insights.
Develop SQL queries, transformations, and reports using Snowflake.
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to ensure data accuracy and availability.
Create dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support data-driven decision-making.
Optimize queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in cloud environments.
Strong proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, functions).
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, schema design, performance tuning).
Experience with BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R, or SQL-based automation).
Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks.
Knowledge of Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Cloning, and Data Sharing.
