Technical Sales & Service Representative - Plywood/OSB
Arclin USA LLC is currently looking for a Technical Sales & Service Representative II for our Southeast Region. While reporting into our Corporate office in Alpharetta, GA this role will primarily be based out of our Plants in Winnfield, LA and Andalusia, AL. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Sales, this position is primarily responsible for providing sales and technical support to Arclin s customers for a variety of application areas primarily related to polymerized resin products. The position provides industry leading technical applications expertise and support to enhance customer delight, strengthen competitive barriers to entry at Arclin accounts, and improve profitability. The Technical Sales Representative is the voice of the customer to Arclin.
Job Responsibilities
- Improve efficiency of customers process by utilizing the latest statistical process control philosophies and techniques; support data management initiatives to improve customer s process understanding
- Integrate resin technology with customer process understanding to develop strategies for improving Arclin s Products
- Coordinate and participate in application studies to solve customer s technical issues that may include resin and process application strategies, development of new products, and improvement of customer s process efficiency
- Foster open communication with our customers, R&T laboratories, Sales, and other technical service laboratories throughout the Arclin organization to ensure our customers are receiving the best available resin technology for their application
- Maintain record keeping for all reports according to established guidelines (contact reports, trial reports, technical service reports, LWO reports, etc.)
- Make recommendations to management concerning resource needs including personnel and capital improvements
- Network in product areas by attending appropriate trade shows, develop support contacts both within and outside the company, anticipate customer needs, contribute and implement ideas
- Assist in identifying and training new Technical Sales Representatives
- Available to travel to any customer location as needed
Job Requirements
- B.S. Mechanical, Chemistry, or related discipline required
- 3-6+ years of exposure within wood products industry, resin research facility, or similar field
- Ability to grasp the technical and scientific aspects of resins and their application in the various wood product fields.
- Experience coordinating and participating in applications studies using design of experiment techniques.
- Excellent communications (written and oral) and organizational abilities mandatory.
- Working knowledge and experience using Data Analysis (SPC) software Quality Analyst, DOE software (Stat-ease) and techniques, Data management MS Access experience
- Basic supervision experience required.
- Experienced with typical personal computers and associated software (Word Processing, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Statease, NWA Quality Analyst software etc.).
